We would like to stay on a Caravan Club Members Only campsite - how do we do this?

What kind of pitch will I need to book for each caravan?

Abbey Spectrum 540 - You will need to specify to the campsite that it is a double axle caravan, 25 ft long.  (NB:  If you have ordered the Deluxe Package, then you will need to notify the campsite that a large awning will be erected beside the caravan)

Bailey Ranger - This caravan will fit on any standard pitch. 

For both caravans, we would recommend that you book a fully serviced pitch which may provide electricity hook up, water, waste disposal and TV connection.   

Is there Freeview TV available in the Abbey Spectrum 540?

Yes there is but the signal can be weak in some places in Cornwall - you are advised to check with the campsite you are staying on.  You may wish to bring along a DVD player with you.

What do I need to bring along for the holiday?

You will need to bring along bedding (sheets, duvet / sleeping bag, pillows and pillowcases), towels and tea towels.

Do I need to provide Calor gas for the caravans?

There is one full cannister and one part-full cannister.  The caravan must be returned with a full cannister. 

What do we need to bring for the handover of the caravan (if we are towing the caravan ourselves)?

You need to bring a Refundable Excess Deposit (£150) (see terms and conditions), driving license (paper version), additional form of ID, MOT certificate for the towing vehicle, insurance documents, car registration number plates (available from Halfords)

We have never used a caravan before - will you provide guidance?

Yes.  Piran Caravan Services will meet you on your arrival and provide full tuition and safety guidance on how to use the caravan's facilities.

We will also be available during office hours to answer your queries.  We will available out of hours for emergencies. 

How do I know that the caravan is safe for use?

All our caravans are serviced at the beginning of each season and maintained to a high standard. Our caravans have also been issued a 'Landlords Certificate'. All our caravans come complete with first aid kits, fire blankets, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and small tool kits.
